AliZufer Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) I had skyrim, and screwed something up modding. So i decied that i would reinstall it and all mods (using MO). I uninstalled all my mods and skyrim, reinstalled skyrim, installed my mods and the problem was still there. So then i reinstalled it without any mods, and i noticed that the carts were acting strange at the intro, as it does sometimes when you have mods. Completely uninstalled MO and reinstalled skyrim, same problem. I even deleted the folder. So my guess is that the MO files are still spooking somewhere where i can't find them (not in the main folder obviously). I need some help, any would be appriciated. Edited April 16, 2016 by AliZufer
krisser143 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) Completely remove and delete all of the MO files (check all your hard drives thorough). When you are sure that no MO or SKSE is around, uninstall Skyrim (and delete remaining files). Install Skyrim, and then try loading up a new save and check if it works. If it works, try installind MO, and install mods one-by-one.BTW, you might want to install MO in your Skyrim folder, so it's easier to find and such. You need to do it in this exact order for the best outcome. Edited April 16, 2016 by krisser143
bben46 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 The cart problem in the intro can be caused by any mod that uses scripts. Normally just disabling the mod will stop that script from running and allow you to get through the intro. Then when you exit the cave at the end of the Helgen intro sequence - you can re enable your mods. What were you planning on doing with those mods during the heavily scripted Helgen intro anyway? If you don't follow the script, the game crashes. So, no killing the dragon, no attacking the guards, no escaping over the wall. Just follow the script until you finish the intro.
AliZufer Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) I am pretty sure i deleted all the MO files, and i don't have skse but this is still happening. I completely removed all the files associated to skyrim and mods, reinstalled it but the same problem remains. Some files are spooking somewhere, and i can't find them. The question was about why his game still glitches, even without mods.

And if you have also installed MO for other games, could you check that they are not interfering with your game? What is weird, is that as long as you don't start MO, your game should not even load the mods at all, unless they are in your data folder.
AliZufer Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Checked it, pretty sure that i dont have MO installed anywhere. And it's not like it has any mods, the game is just acting like it has. Well the intro does anyway. I think there is a script somewhere. But i can't find it. Weird.

And you ARE starting a totally new game, right? And how is it acting out? Edited April 16, 2016 by krisser143
NexusComa Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Did you download any mods from steam ? If so they are sitting in a text file waiting to be queued (download installed) if they see they are not installed.Delete everything in this folder ... C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Skyrim ... you will need to set your folders to view hidden items to see the Appdata folder. Then run LOOT to remake the 2 files. (may have to manually copy paste to make sure the plugins file is correct)
