The i7 might be a bit overkill but I want to make sure that the computer will be good for gaming after a few years. The SSD would have been faster but also quite expensive. I don't mind waithing a lttle longer for it to boot or load. With the money I saved from leaving out the Blue-ray writer and the SSD disk, I bought a Logitech Driving Force GT.
