Would like some guidance please;)

Hi everyone. I have nearly finnished an epic playthrough of Fallout 3 with many mods, around 110 hours in.

 

I am going to start on New Vegas soon and i would like some advice on which mods to use, specifically on compatability with overhaul mods.

 

These are the gameplay mods which have caught my eye so far. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could advise me as to whether they are all compatible with eachother, and if not, which ones i can not use:

 

Also, some of the mods i am considering might already be covered by one of the big overhauls.

 

1.Project Nevada

2. Fook NV

3.A World of Pain

4. Monster mod

5. New Vegas restoration

6.Electro City

7.Realistic repair

8.Project Ultimatum

9.Immersive Karma

10. Increased wasteland spawns

 

Also, are there any others which you would recommend?

I might ask a few more questions about compatability, as there are so many mods i would like to try, it is quite overwhelming!

 

Oh and Fellout or Nevada skies?

I dont use FOOK so im not sure on that one.

 

But i use AWOP and IWS and MoMod together; there's even a patch so that u can use IWS and MoMod in the underground area of AWOP.

 

Project nevada has the potential to conflict with a lot of smaller stuff and i used it for a while. I know that it conflicts with Advanced recon armor on the HUD, and thats the only reason i got rid of it.

 

If you FOMOD install project nevada and go to the menu, it will show all of the things it does and you can see what it has the potential to conflict with.

 

as far as fellout Vs nevada skies, thats a personal preference; i prefer nevada skies but you'll see just as many endorsments on both. But i use the URWL nevada skies with the Darker nights for URWL mod.

 

While your at it though, you might check out Shrapnel:

Its BoE 'esque and ads tons of real guns to the game. There's also a patch for shrapnel to be used on AWOP.

 

But that gun thing is just a preference of mine, some people prefer WMX, or WME. both of witch are real popular and have patches for AWOP

Thanks for the quick reply. I do have Shrapnel on my list, forgot to list it. I have basically looked through the Nexus top 100 lists of all of different categories and i've made a list of around 70 mods which i am interested in.

 

I really liked FOOK2 in FO3, so i will look to use t again, I will have to find out what it actually incorporates though, as in FO3 it actually included Fellout and Streetlights and a few other mods which might be on my list also. In the description, they say that FOOK is compatible with Project Nevada core and rebalance modules.

 

I think the best thing would be to load up a game with the major overhaul mods and see if any of the smaller mods i am looking at are already used in one of them.
