Strange letters and characters showing up

Soo, I'm a little stumped as to what could be going on. The first time I noticed something was strange was when I was doing the main quest for the College of Winterhold when you go to Labyrinthian in search of the Staff of Magnus. When I first encountered Savos Aren's spirit... his name came up as a series of strange symbols as shown below:

The next time I noticed something was off was yesterday when I decided to start a new playthrough, since my main playthrough was pretty much corrupted thanks to the number of times my mods were uninstalled and reinstalled the wrong way after a certain set of events occurred. This is what I saw when I scrolled down to the Orc race to read the race description:

The race name and description are nothing but random characters. Anybody have this ever happen to them? Cause I'm seriously confused as to what mod could possibly be doing this. These are the only two instances that I've seen this in-game so far.

I have a teensy tiny little bitty slice of this *exact* issue.

 

Eorlund Graymane's name shows up just like that. Just him, that's it. I have decided to overlook it, but I am interested to know what caused it.e
