bencebence
Hey everybody!I'd need some help again. I were making my mod yesterday, and I tought that I will run a little testing.I've reached the location I have to go easily. But there I had a problem. There is a guild master, And I wanted that he has one standard, but custom greeting, and the quest's topics are choices from that dialogue. But I can't do it. The custom greetings shows up at the first quest, the entering, but not anymore. Then he says the vanilla greetings, which obviously, doesn't have my topics added. What should I do?Thanks in advance, bencebence
MarkInMKUK
Make more than one identical Guildmaster, and use a different one for each quest section? ... may not be elegant or efficient, but i bet it'd work Edited July 2, 2011 by MarkInMKUK
bencebence
I think, it'd work, but the mod sets place on an island, not too big one. So, it'd be hard to have about 7-8 guild masters in a place as big as Chorrol.
bencebence
I might have an idea, I will try it. Thanks anyway.
ub3rman123
Have you applied the right conditions for the greeting topic? For example, if quest stage is not this, don't use this greeting. If quest stage is this, use this greeting. If some guy is dead, use this greeting. MarkInMKUK
You don't have all of then active at once - you use Guildmaster #1 at first, then switch to Guildmaster 2 (who is still the same character as far as the player is concerned), and so on. I know Claudia's Little Secret uses that method in places.
fg109
If you intend to release your mod, I suggest to try doing something other than messing with the Greetings topic. Changing the Greetings topic is like changing an item. The mod that loads last wins.
