ikeftw5
Okay, so Steam is currently having this AMAZING summer sale thing. They had Oblivion GOTY for like $7. I HAD to firmly grasp it. After two days of downloading, (I know, 2 days? Off and on.) I installed it. I started it, eager to get my hands on this epic RPG, and hit "New Game". A box pops up saying "Start New Game?" I click "Yes" and it just goes back to the menu as if I pressed "No". No matter what I do IT WILL NOT WORK. I've download a save game that starts at the end of the sewers. I loaded it, and it just crashes. Idk why. I never installed any mods or did anything to it... I have Windows 7 and my specs are beyond what it requires. I researched forever and came up empty handed. So I decided to post about it. I appreciate the help. -Ike Okay, I'm new to forums like this. Pardon my newb-ness. David Brasher
There is the chance that your download is corrupt. If you have no mods, and have not messed with settings, and have properly installed the game, then it should work. I recommend you try reinstalling a time or two, and then see if they will allow you to download again, because your download is probably corrupt and unusable. ikeftw5
I uninstalled it, now I'm going through the long wait of downloading it again. I'll tell you if it works when I install it.
HeyYou
Move your steam installation OUTSIDE of the program files folder.
