suzypike
Okay- finally! I got Beryls Headpack to work! I think I figured out what was wrong. I completely uninstalled and did a Search and Destroy on all traces of Wrye Mash also. I installed Beryls Headpack 3 times before it worked, and I've noticed 1 NPC with missing hair, but it's something I can live with. I guess he just was involved in a bad accident.. lol! Now. I'm going to reinstall Wrye Mash. I should only have one little mod showing! If it's not green, I'm probably going to be asking you questions. suzy
suzypike
What in the crap am I supposed to do about the ones with the yellow boxes? Yellow where? Under the Mods tab, the Saves tab, or the Installer tab? If it's under the Mods tab, highlight the ESM/ESP on the right that's in yellow, right-click, and tell me what options it provides you. Thanks for all the help. And if you can help me at all with Wrye Mash- like point me to a "Wrye Mash for Dummies" page, I would be eternally grateful! :teehee: I've seen something like that for Wrye Bash, but not for Wrye Mash, unfortunately. Perhaps someone can correct on this--but in any case, feel free to ask. :) Here (attachments) is what my screen says. When I totally messed up my game before, I did just what it said- and I couldn't even start a game. It crashed as soon as you hit load or new. My game is working fine- so why are these in yellow? Of course I am hesitant to 'fix' them as I did before, considering the result I got. I don't like that I don't understand exactly what Wrye Mash is trying to do. Explain? Thanks again, suzy
suzypike
Povuholo's Morrowind 2010 - try this list, it might be useful for you too. I am interested in G. Character Development, Races are more Fun, and Birthsigns are more Fun. Will these conflict with each other or my patches that modify the same/similar things. Sorry.. I'm a little gunshy now! :teehee: suzy
Balakirev
My game is working fine- so why are these in yellow? Of course I am hesitant to 'fix' them as I did before, considering the result I got. I don't like that I don't understand exactly what Wrye Mash is trying to do. Explain? Try this: where the mod's checkbox is yellow under the Mods tab, look to the right. You should see a box where the parent mods are listed, and I suspect at least one will be yellow, as well. Highlight, right click, and if it says something like "update master," select that option. Then click the save box underneath. The mod should now have a green checkbox on the left. If the problem reoccurs to the same mod, check out the parent mods, and see if their order in your mods list is identical to the way they're listed on the right, in that box. If it isn't, change the time/date stamp of one in the modlist to so it's earlier (or later) than the other--so it mirrors the order of the parent mods in the box on the right, in other words. Now click in that box, and click the save button. That should do it. I hope that was clear. Let me know if it wasn't. ;)

Let me know if it wasn't. ;) Yes, it is clear, but also, that is exactly what I did right before my game became unplayable- crashed as soon as you hit New or Load. And I only did it to a couple of little mods that were in yellow. I did exactly as above to the Havish patch. That didn't require updating anything but the main Havish file. On the other ones, I can live without momoney, and it may conflict with PirateLords Economy Overhaul anyway that I just added. As for Passive Healthy Wildlife, I want to keep it. In fact, I moved it way down in my load order. (see attachment)I still hesitate to hit the scary "Update Master File" and "Save" buttons tho... Two questions:Is there a tab on Wrye that sorts your mods by load order so that you can see exactly how they are loading? Can I undo whatever Wrye does if I click to Update Master File for Passive Healthy Wildlife and it crashes my game? Like an undo button??? And it says to check the changes before you save, but I can't figure out how to do that... I have most, if not all of the mods I'm going to use now loaded and so far my game is running fine- I have only just arrived in Balmora though and haven't even visited the other towns or Havish and Haldenshore. Thanks for all of your help. If I can figure out how to use Wrye Mash, I'll be a happy camper! suzy
suzypike
I figured out how set my Wrye list to see load order. And this time I DID figure out out from the Help section. I posted a separate thread on Wrye Mash for Dummies. I can't figure out how to merge leveled lists for the life of me. Also, I can't get MLOX to work. I've downloaded it twice. Extracted to Programs/Morrowind. When I click on the icon inside my Morrowind folder, a black (DOS) box comes up for a second. Something flashes across the box for just a second (text), and then the box dissappears. That's all I can get it to do. My game is running great though. My mods are working, no lag, no crashing. I'm a happy camper! The only way my game can get better is to add PirateLords Creatures and I'm holding off on that trying to learn how to merge my leveled lists. Thanks again!!! suzy

Because you should run mlox.bat, and mlox itself should be installed under its own directory: Morrowind/mlox. My game is running great though. My mods are working, no lag, no crashing. I'm going to be very busy until the middle of next week, and probably won't be able to check in easily, but I'll send you a message if you would like to contact me with questions by email. That will be the easiest way to reach me. :)
