MostOriginalName
Hello, I would really appreciate if someone could help me with my load order. I’ve seen various posts saying that Boss is outdated and that Loot doesn’t always work properly, so I followed a load-order guide created by the TTW Team: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/load-order-general-guide (I don’t have TTW, I just read the guide to give me an idea). The thing is I’m no expert, so I’d really like to know if I sorted things correctly. Here’s my load order:GameMode=FalloutNV FalloutNV.esm=1DeadMoney.esm=1HonestHearts.esm=1OldWorldBlues.esm=1LonesomeRoad.esm=1GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1ClassicPack.esm=1MercenaryPack.esm=1TribalPack.esm=1CaravanPack.esm=1Caliber.esm=1Project Nevada - Core.esm=1SomeguySeries.esm=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esm=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - L38PS.esm=1NVInteriors_Core.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition_AWOP.esm=1Momod.esm=1Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.esm=1AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm=1AWOPDeadMoney.esm=1Run the Lucky 38.esm=1The New Bison Steve Hotel.esm=1D.E.I.M.O.S..esm=1AngelPark.esm=1NVWillow.esp=1Niner.esm=1FCOMaster.esm=1oHUD.esm=1More Traits.esm=1More Perks.esm=1More Perks for Dead Money.esm=1More Perks for Honest Hearts.esm=1More Perks for Old World Blues.esm=1Project Nevada - Equipment.esm=1Project Nevada - Extra Options.esm=1Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp=1Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp=1Monster Mod Wasteland Edition.esp=1NewVegasBounties.esp=1NewVegasBountiesII.esp=1TheInheritance.esp=1The Lucky 38 Empire.esp=1MoreNiner.esp=1DarNifiedUINV.esp=1The Mod Configuration Menu.esp=1The Weapon Mod Menu.esp=1WeaponModsExpanded.esp=1MoMod-MCMMenu.esp=1FCO - NPC Changes.esp=1christinecos.esp=1CNR_Beta.esp=1Boacombat2glove.esp=1boa ncrpahelmet.esp=1Portable Tent.esp=1QS_Blackwolf_NV_Backpackmod.esp=1NCR Rearmament v1.5 (Lore).esp=1MoMod-NightSpawn.esp=1More Traits Update.esp=1More Perks Update.esp=1More Perks for Dead Money Update.esp=1More Perks for Honest Hearts Update.esp=1More Perks for Old World Blues Update.esp=1Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Store.esp=1Caliber-PN.esp=1GRA-WRP-Patch-Two_Unofficial.esp=1Project Nevada - Cyberware Additions.esp=1Project Nevada - Rebalance Complete.esp=1Project Nevada - All DLC.esp=1Project Nevada - WMX.esp=1EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE All DLC.esp=1Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.CaliberX4+.Patch.esp=1Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Honest.Hearts.Grunt.Patch.esp=1Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Leveled.Lists.esp=1WMX-DLCMerged.esp=1WMX-EVE-AllDLC.esp=1WMX-ModernWeapons.esp=1WMX-POPMerged.esp=1WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp=1AWOPCaliberXAmmoPatch.esp=1AWOPDeadMoneyVendorPatch.esp=1AWOP-WMX-EVE AllDLC.esp=1AWOPLow4DStorage.esp=1AWOPLowLootAll.esp=1AWOP-FCO3.esp=1FCO - Willow.esp=1FCO - Niner.esp=1FCO - OHSB NPC Edits.esp=1FCO - The New Bison Steve.esp=1MoMod-Aliens.esp=1MoMod-Terminators.esp=1Vurt's WFO.esp=1DYNAVISION 3.esp=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.esp=1ILO - A World of Pain.esp=1ILO - NVInteriors Project - AWOP.esp=1ILO - GS Shack.esp=1ILO - PipBoy Light.esp=1ILO - D.E.I.M.O.S.esp=1ILO - New Vegas Bounties II.esp=1ILO - New Vegas Bounties.esp=1ILO - NVWillow.esp=1ILO - Portable Tent.esp=1TTW FNV RWLE - Darker Nights.esp=1FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting - Enhanced.esp=
M48A5
Actually, no. With this active, TTW FNV RWLE - Darker Nights.esp=1, you will get an instant crash with an error message of "Missing Master, check the load order". It requires Tale of Two Wastelands. MostOriginalName
Thanks for your response. I know the Darker Nights plugin says TTW, but in the mod page it says it works with both TTW and FNV versions. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59591/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D59591&pUp=1 I’m not getting any crashes or errors due to my load order, I’d just like to know if it’s properly sorted. dubiousintent
"Project Nevada - All DLC" should go before any of the optional files like Equipment or Rebalance. When manually adjusting bear in mind that most mod "optional" files need to be placed after the main file, which is going to be a "master" to them. Same for "patch" files. They do not necessarily need to be adjacent, but adjacency is needed if you are going to try to merge all the optional files into a single "merged plugin" file. It's not always possible. Here is the thing about Load Order (LO): it is very HIGHLY dependent upon exactly which mods you have installed. So working from someone else's LO is a guide only to the mods you have in common, and then generally only to the related mods such as the "Project Nevada" modules. Best used after you try LOOT and still have problems. LOOT works by looking into the headers of mod files and then determining which types of records are being changed. It then has some rules by which it orders certain record types. The complaints I have seen appear to be with which records within a record type "win" between conflicting mods (not optimal), but that doesn't have anything to do with whether or not the game CTDs. LOOT hasn't steered me wrong in that regard at all. Which mod's records win conflicts can be adjusted by manually moving mods up or down the LO once LOOT has sorted them by type, and then re-running LOOT to see if it really insists on a different order. You can then use the LOOT metadata "Load After" feature to ensure your preference "sticks". One of the big advantages of LOOT is that it will tell you if you are missing a "master" or file that a mod requires. It will also tell you about many mods that need cleaning (based upon community reports). But in terms of getting you an initial LO that won't CTD, it works fine. -Dubious- Edited April 19, 2016 by dubiousintent
