Porting XCOM EU skelmeshes & animations to XCOM2 ?

I think I might be able to get the sound from XCom EU, but it might take some searching to find it. For the particle effects, they're somewhere in the X2 SDK (the plasma warp particle effect, for one). For now, it's better to use the existing projectiles and particle effects.

Similar with sound - weapon sounds can be taken from X2 assets, but shiv itself sounds should be from EU/EW.

Those sounds should be in Voice_something_SF.upk but I couldn't find nothing with "shiv" in name - even posted by LiQuiD911 mesh and anims. :/

It might be labelled under "Tank" or something.

Cool! Now onto, Alloy & Hover SHIVS and the circle will be complete -- as long as i can fill some squad slot on my SkyRanger missions. ;)

 

But i wouldn't give up so easily as i feel you might beat Shen's gift to the punch before this summer is over. :D

The reason the material is so bright is because it needs a mask with the Specular and Cavity in it, which XEU does not have. The maps might need some fixing, but we'll get to that.

 

I've downloaded the package and started adding particle notifies to the SHIV. I've added the explosion particle effects on the SHIV dying animation, but I'm not sure if X2 will play it, yet. I've also added the leftover SHIV particle effect for the firing animation.

 

I will post results in a little bit.

EDIT: How do I get the SHIV ingame, btw?
