When the creation kit comes out.

Well Bethesda obviously licensed it, I'm just saying it's not impossible to acquire access to dev tools. Theoretically Black Tree Gaming could even crowd fund their own "animation studio" program for the Creation Kit.

Yea, but it's one to be Beth asking MS for the license, and another to be Joe Random :P

Wouldn't that cut out collision meshes as well? As I understand it, if you still have an old copy of the 2014 SDK, you are still allowed to use it. I remember with Skyrim, there was a mod that added new custom slots for animations. My team just exported the animations, sent them to the guy, and he implemented them for us. Not so sure if we would have that kind of luck this time however. :\

Microsoft owns Havok now? Oh great.

Sadly Intel owned Havok before, and Intel's history of external company purchases is truly horrific. Frankly, it is a miracle that Ireland based Havok survived Intel's mastery.

Now we wait for Microsoft to fully integrate Havok into the DirectX dev tools. But Microsoft may give that idea up in the meantime- Windows 10 proves MS has gone officially insane.

It is the greatest pity that Bullet never made the big league, given its fully open nature. However, in this specific case, I'd expect some serious reverse-engineering to happen if official animation tools for FO4 fail to appear.
