Bottletopman
Your character has a shadow, the people of the Mojave have shadows, but nooo, the buildings that are standing don't have shadows. Not even miscellaneous items have shadows! Come on Bethesda, the Source engine could make the desert look a lot better!
huntsman2310a
yeah FNV doesn't run on the source engine, it runs on gamebryo. and source can't do completely open world spaces. it would take too much.
VaultPi
you know having a pair of "Hiroshima Lovers" on the side of a building as something that can be examined would kinda be morbid/cool. (depending on how detailed we wish to make the immortalized shilowettes...

NorthWolf
Shadows are very resource intensive things. The open world of the game would make world shadows very taxing on even high performance computers, I would imagine.
Xenno
Your idea is very good , but i totally agree with NorthWolf , i think that would steal WAAAY too much of your graphic card ram, so it would be usable only with cards over 1gb ram IMHO...

(depending on how detailed we wish to make the immortalized shilowettes...what exactly are "hiroshima lovers"...? like a burnt in silhouette of a couple, or what...?if you post a fitting silhouette (and where you want it and what should happen on examination), i guess i could do that... VaultPi
the Hiroshima Lovers refers to ashes perminatly impacted onto the surface of the buildig by the heat and overpressure.

Hmm...well, maybe just set it so shadows draw within a customisable view distance... On a side note, is there any way to get rid of the fade on the right side of the HUD compass?
