DrHarvey12
I've recently been having the a-bomb issue where all my animations were frozen and I couldn't open doors anymore. This was only after 80 hours of play too - probably just 50 when I first started noticing it. Anyway got so annoyed with it last night I posted on here and was informed of this issue and the various ways of fixing it. I used the animation fixer program and it worked like a charm. Animations all moving fine - game seems to be running better than ever then all of a sudden it was crashing every 5 minutes. Stopped it and went and installed Wyre Bash and made a merged patch. (Don't really understand what Wyre Bash does or is and also haven't done anything with Python yet or even installed it). Anyway the patching process took a fair amount of time. But once it was done BOSS sorted it to load at the bottom of the list and I carried on using OBMM. Game has been playing fine today with no crashes at all - YAY!!! However upon going into the Bank of Cyrodil they are now treating me like a new customer with no account. WTF - I had well over 200,000 in there before I started the animation fixer / Wyre Bash stuff. I accept it is quite possibly something I did and really want to avoid it happening again. Mods I'm running include: OBMM / OBSE / Stutter remover / fastexit 2 / Better Cities / IWR - revised optimised / Natural habitats, water, weather, vegetation / Unique Landscapes / BOSS / Younger hotter npc's / Alive waters / Qarls Texture Pack 3 / Darnified UI / I am running the Steam version of the deluxe game with all dlc's. I've installed all the unofficial patches too. Anybody got any ideas what has happened and should I stop putting money into the bank??? Hickory
From your description you created your Bashed Patch before you ran BOSS, therefore you patch contains incorrect data for your load order. Hopefully you haven't overwritten your save game. Here's what you need to do: Do what you have to do in OBMM and then close it (important, as OBMM does not clean up until closed)Make sure you have the latest versions of BOSS and Wrye Bash (check!)Update your BOSS masterlist -- you can do this from the BOSS GUI.Note any unknown (to BOSS) mods, and place the Bashed Patch after them (drag/drop in Wrye Bash).Rebuild your Bashed Patch correctly **Run the game and load from a saved game previous to your BoC issue.** There is a file patch_option_reference.html in your \Data\Mopy\ folder. Read it. Digest it. Understand it.Edit: Corrected above** There is a file patch_option_reference.html in your \Oblivion\Mopy\ folder. Read it. Digest it. Understand it. DrHarvey12
Hey Hickory. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm sure that you are right about it being the bash patch as I wasn't too sure what I was doing when I built it. The readme went straight over my head so I probably should have just left it well alone :( I've got loads of earlier saves so going back to an earlier one shouldn't be too much of an issue. I can't seem to locate the patch_option_reference.html you mention though. My Mopy folder isn't in the Data folder at all but in the Oblivion main folder and I can't see it in there. I've searched my Oblivion folder as well for this file but can't see it at all. I always use BOSS before playing and I've never had any unknown mods show up on it. Also AFAIK the bashed patch has always been at the end. Having read a few more bits and pieces about this online I'm quite frankly astounded it is working at all. I checked every single option I could for the bashed patch unless it was obvious I didn't have that add-on or plugin. Is there anywhere online to get this refernce.html from? Otherwise I think I'll just have to spend a lot more time reading up on how Wyre Bash works and then give it another go. As everything seems to be working fine the last few days - actually much better than it was before I built the bashed patch I'll just keep it as is until I better understand Wyre Bash. Unless you think that the bashed patch is going to cause more errors down the line and should be rebuilt immediately before playing any more of the game? Hickory
My apologies about the mopy folder being inside the data folder. Just a silly oversight on my part. You can view the patch option reference online here. Your patch should definitely be rebuilt if it was incorrectly built previously. Take a look at the online referece (save it for future reading) and go from there. Hey Hickory. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
