GECK in Beta?

I'm wondering if Betheda will release other offical tools to help people make their own textured models and stuff instead of us using Nifskope and messing around with BullShtLighting Shader Branches or do they 'technically' not want you to use anything other than their original model objects for use with the Creation Kit?

I have no idea what they will release other than the CK. If they are using 3rd party tools to make the meshes etc, then they can't release those, you have to get them. eg: maya, havok .

In those cases, as long as we know the formats used to import into CK, that's fine with me.

Beta testers aren't allowed to say. But, from comments, it sounds like they did include features that weren't in the previous Creation Kit. Maybe that includes tools like that?

read somewhere that some1 was using nvidia 3ds -or something- and the 3D-Builder that comes with Windows 10, to create mesh's - could that be even a bit true!? or have i read lies and misdirections!?

would be nice tho- if 3D-builder somehow could be used to create the 3D objects for the geck ^^

I think you're referring to nVidia 3D Vision, which appears to be a 3D/VR tool rather than a 3D modeling app.

The nVidia 3ds plug-in is a plug-in (to Photoshop) for saving texture maps in .DDS format. That is only about texturing not modeling.

Pretty sure you can use any program for modeling, Blender which is free, and Nifskope for example.

I doubt they release any actual 'tools' beyond the GECK itself. Modders are already on the bandwagon with their own tools of choice. No need for them to re-invent the wheel.

You can create meshes with any 3d modeling program. You just have to export them to nif format. There is plugin for 3ds max 2016 since a few months, but it cannot create collision. So collision is the only real problem when it comes to creating custom meshes.
