Iv000
Everything but the engine completly destroyed and Todd Howard fired to work at activision because apparently Call of Duty is a "Hardcore RPG game" :wallbash: I'm still trying to comprehend this statement, all I'm getting from this is Call of Duty and Todd Howard. @thread My hopes were fulfilled at the mention of Dual wielding swords and better third person animations and finishing moves. Todd said in an interview that COD is a "hardcore" game with RPG elements. And now, everybody is thinking he's trying to make TES more COD like.I'm still positive, since the devs have hinted that they are not simplifying Skyrim at all. Alcrin
I'm still positive, since the devs have hinted that they are not simplifying Skyrim at all. It depends on what you mean by simplification. They completely removed attribute scores, cut down on the number of skills, removed custom spells, and reduced the number of equippable items the player can wear by at least 1. Still, there's a difference between "simplifying" as removing gameplay depth and "simplifying" as expanding gameplay depth by getting rid of things that get in the player's way. I think most of the simplifications we've seen so far have been of the latter type. As for something I hope for, I hope dominate/charm/command is actually usable this time around. Also, cooler necromancy. It just being an undead-flavored variant of conjuration in Oblivion was quite disappointing. Yes, sorry I should really stop posting when it's midnight.I actually meant dumbing down aka "removing gameplay features so the new kids can have it easy"I agree on the attributes, skills, custom spells, and equipabble items being removed. They had valid reasons for why they removed it.
10dmcghee
-Cutting up dead bodies  -Being able to hire someone from the dark brotherhood to kill [X] person (just because I can, and it wouldn't affect peoples disposition towards me)-Being able to hire a thief to find [X] item for you (in Oblivion it was annoying trying to find one trader out of the many just to buy a single item to finnish my outfit)-Not needing 100 mercantile to invest in a store. (I NEVER EVER reached 100 merc. in Oblivion to be able to do this)-Non-psychic shopkeepers who don't follow you around the store if you're invisible.-The ability to harvest blood from some person/creature so I can drink it from my inventory instead of having to feed on a sleeping NPC when I'm a vampire.-Non psychic guards.-Randomly generated missions for the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves guild even after their main quests are finnished.-Being able to grow ingredients in/outside my house/s-Improved AI in general-Secret/rare weapons and armour like there is in Fallout 3 + Fallout NV-Less loading screens-Enemies follow you through loading screens more often-Not all creatures attacking you on sight (wolves don't do that in real life unless there in a BIG pack or if they're starving)-More realistic repair system (I mean, come on, repairing LEATHER and GLASS by hitting it with a hammer?)-Enemies carry on looking for you for longer-Not having dramatic music starting up and getting me on-guard only to find I'm being followed by a suicidal mudcrab.-Some enemies using sneak (and are harder for the player to detect (and no music starting up when they detect you))-Some prejudice among the races (because people are stupid like that-yes I include myself in that statement)-Recipies for proper potions and poisons with names (eg weak healing potion, a named poison)-Headshot=instant kill (unless they're a spectre of some kind or have really thick skulls, eg mamoth)-Bounty hunting-Jumping from rooftop to rooftop as I follow my contract, undetected.
