How to skip Bugged sections of a quest?

Hello

 

I have created several characters and once completed the game (since then I havent focused much on the MQs), but with every single serious character whom I have created I have joined the Arcane University.

 

I have recently added many mods and created a new character. It would seem that one of these mods does not respond well with the game as when I leave the Brina Cross Inn during the Anvil Mages Guild quest the game starts acting up (static tearing across the screen for a second or two, extreme lagging etc.) and then crashes (sometimes instantly or once as far as just as the woman was about to die).

 

I do not ask for help with the bug as it is the first I have encountered and I will only request help if it is a recurring problem throughout the game, but is it possible to skip that part of the quest and go straight to getting my recommendation? Its just that I have done the quest several times before and it is not difficult but to fix a glitch might be much harder or more inconvenient than a simple cheat put to honest use.

Nevermind I just managed to get passed it. It was just the brief period between my leaving the inn and the message that says 'Caminalda is dead' or something to that effect. It was lagging and going static worse than ever but it didn't crash long enough for me to kill her and get passed the glitch.

Good that you fixed it yourself. You can advance quests with console commands.
