Roxana
Hi!1 I don't wish to get into the wrongs/rights of high levels as once you hit 100 in all skills the only real advantage is that you can look at other perk lines (explosions/melee/unarmed etc) to see if and how they work: you still have to kill the mob s and at very hard hardcore getting to a high level is well deserved. With the latest 1.4 patch the increase maximum level to 100 patches do not work and being a longtime RPG player it kills me to shoot mobs for no experience & frankly I was looking forward to see what Demolition level 3 did as it does seem quite useful and might be worth a new char line (energy weapons + explosives). Can some mod mastermind with more neurons and experience than I possess put together a level 100 mod that is compatible with the new patch so I can continue with FNV as opposed to playing Fallout 2 MegaMod..again? Thank you in advance (born optimist : ))
Roxana
Nevermind. I sneaked into the GECK and did something that worked...I think...FIIK how or why but beggars etc..... BTW as I am female I play female chars and the legion is really upset when women kill their men......assassins dropping out of the sky almost....... kinda nice shooting guys wearing skirts : )...shoulda called them the "white legs" : )
Sunnie
Actually, Honest Hearts patch broke the level cap overrides. You can set the limit in game settings all day but it appears that after you install the 1.3 patch there's a hard ceiling of 50 now. If you actually get the game to continue leveling beyond 50, I'd like to know how you did it!
NorthWolf
There's a mod for it already: Max Level Adjuster Solution is basically that you can still use commands in game to unlock the levels, so using NVSE you can do the same thing automatically whenever the game starts. Works, I've tested it.

If you actually get the game to continue leveling beyond 50, I'd like to know how you did it! I didn't...my attempt failed ......Despite having my exp points up on F1 no mobkill added exp points( I tried to extend the base level to 80 via GECK). BUT I dug up every higher level patch i could find and somehing Worked : I am level 57 and still gaining exp and quite honestly playing AWOP IWS et al,:Bounties 1&2, Dogtown and a few others I am finding tghe game still a challenge as I am runnning into tsunamis of mobs,(Survivalists rifle is just too slow to use, so I am finding a use for explosives at last.no idea if it will work with anyone else as my husband installed FNV within days of its release and the mods are near 70 in number. I used BOTH 100 level mods available here and my own GECK extended base level to 80..I am simply NOT game to untick one in case I lose what took me all day(and I MEAN IT) to achieve. Roxana
All you need is the one mod I posted, nothing else. Much appreciated Many thanks to you and whoever wrote it. But it wasn't up when I replied and hence my reply : ) Still one big problem at high level: the guns that kill are so slow (Kriss, AMR, Survivalist, Holorifle, Sniper(hollow tip/AP). Even the Garand is too slow while the LMG is too inaccurate so I am finding quite a use for the chainsaw and grenades of all kinds...damn near a totally different game especially with the legion assassins using AMRs (where did my arm go?). Even using the hei gung (whatever) armour with the 8 stealth boy mod stealth field is hairy and as I am a sneak char I still haven't used any Power Armour despite the dozen or so sets I have looted. THE NET result is that I have now achieved that scary mood you have when you first start the game as every turn has potential trouble as it should be in a post apocalyptic world. Bethesda put in the ground plan (thx to Black isle/Interplay) but the modders have built the monument. Thx to all of them....this game rocks compared with FO3 and is on a reward level with FO2 although I have to keep wiping up drool from my husband when he notices Brooke on screen( apart form the hair color I did look like her...once...several children ago)
