provanity
ok so, registrator2000 made a great key binding mod called FO4 HOTKEYS.You can hotkey anything with this mod. It's mainly design to key-bind equipment and consumables, but you can also manually key bind mods like bullet time / dance / etc. One of the coolest features that this modoffers is that it lets you bind console commands. The problem is that you have to know the console command before you can bind it.you can bind *for example* showmenu "sleepwaitmenu" to any key you'd like and bring up the wait screen from any location.you could also bind showspecialmenu and redo you're character build at anytime, with a click of a button. In fallout we are given commands that are linked to the same hotkey, like point of view / settlement building HUD.With this you could split those commands, but only if you know the commands for each.I'm personally trying to find out the commands for the pipboylight toggle and perk menu.but why stop there? something else I suspect could be made possible with this mod is having yourcharter only walk, and then jog with a different button. *maybe*--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------but let's keep things simple, and expand from there.why am I doing this?well I've yet to journey into fall out 4, but now I'm gearing up for survival to be released. One thing I'm trying to do before I play is disable in game use of pipboy. Thus, limiting my pipboy use to app only. If my phone dies, I have to recharge it beforeI can use any of its features. So fare I've been able to completely disable the pipboy button. However, this makes it so I can't turn on my pipboy light.I also can't access my perk menu, which is kind of important.there's a command to remove the pipboy, but it doesn't really remove the pipboy, it just removed the graphics for it.you character's arm still pops up, and the pipboy HUD options are still displayed, you can even scroll and click without knowing what you are doing.also, I use the pipboy flashlight mod and removing the pipboy glitches this mod out. I'll need this mod as I'm also going to be playing with darker nights & true storms.I suspect that if you know a way to find out these commands, you'll also have access to every menu / every player control.so please, share the knowledge, this hotkey mod can be taken to so many levels if those codes are made available.thx in advance!!!p.s. I'm willing to do the work on my own if someone can just point me in the right direction.here are some commands that I feel are leading me in the right direction.showmenu "sleepwaitmenu" (replace with perkmenucommand???)player.pa ActionThrow - (replace with Actionpipboylight command???)help "perk" 0help "pipboy" 0help "action" 0help "idle" 0gpc Edited April 24, 2016 by provanity
provanity
update, I found that when typing help "xenon" 0into the command console it pops up a command called begintrace (bt) - xenon onlyI can't seem to get it to do anything but it never tells me that I've input a wrong command.I had the FO4 mod set to something that disabled my xenon_B button. (aka pipboy)While that was disabled, when I went out of the command console and tried to use the button I got a message saying that "pipboy" "pipboy-light" could not be found when going back into the console.I feel like this command dumps a trace file of player actions?but that could be wishful thinking. anyone got any ideas as to where to look? slowly but surely I feel like I'm getting some pretty good puzzle pieces . now if I can just put them all together... Royhr
I'd love to find how to separate the exit power armor and grab commands. Pain in the ass that I keep exiting power armor when I try to grab and pick something up... Anybody have any ideas as to how to do this?
provanity
Try playing with player.pa action commands in the command consol. I dont know what they all are yet but the pipboy split is likely the same thing. Youd then set your power exit to a key then try making pick up item something diff. Id leave your standard button alone cause its a action button and performs a lot of other commcommands so you could glith out a lot of other stuff like open doors etc.
provanity
made another interesting discovery.I havn't tested this yet,but some layer actions seem like they maybe need to bat files.for example:player.pa actionpipboyopenonly seems to open the graphics.there is another console command I can't seem to get to work. actionpipboymapopenthere is also the same applying to every pipboy screen, including select, inspect etc.Im asuming that the two would need to be bat filed and then the bat commmand could be used to hotkey. Thus, I'd love to find how to separate the exit power armor and grab commands. Pain in the ass that I keep exiting power armor when I try to grab and pick something up... Anybody have any ideas as to how to do this?when takleing something like this, you'd need to find every common that the action button is used for.I.E. open doors, lockpick, etc.as they would all need to be within the bat.I've also noticed that player.pa actionjumpstart seems to require player.pa actionjumpstop *untested*this make my adventure way more intense but just think of the combinations? TheGrimSleeper55555
The other AACT ActionPipboyXXXX like ActionPipboyMap are the finger animations that correspond to each tab.So if you do player.pa actionpipboyopen and then player.pa ActionPipboyMap, you can see the finger move, but nothing actually happens. If you type help "Action" 0, you can get a whole list of 'AACT stuff' that I think are mostly animations. But knowing Bethesda, it could have all sorts of weirdness attached, just like the player.pa ActionThrow and B=player.pa ActionMelee actually cause you to chuck and bash resp.
