hoofhearted4
ooo, but a board thats ready for crossfire cant handle two Nvidia boards in SLI? thats dumb  soo changing in this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131754 my new price is $1347.34...not too shabby. and thats with monitor, keyboard, and speakers...this is a thousand dollar build without those items (considering many ppl building PCs already have those pieces..sometimes...and thats not counting Ram since i have it already) im happy with that :) i hope it doesnt change in price too much by the time im ready to build it (unless its cheaper)...besides the CPU being double since i hear bulldozer will be like $380 or something, ill pay it if its worth it, if not hello 1100T :D
Thor.
Its also not coming out until next year sometimes possibly with the same release date as windows8. So are you getting win 7 pro like i mentioned its worth every penny.I suggest get the oem version  the last one was just a exaple. price drop. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16832116992 For any Amd phenom 64bit is highly required, especially with lots of ram. hoofhearted4
you must not have read my last post. i get W7 Pro FREE from school. im in computer science at my local college and we get x32 and x64 bit for free as well as a bunch of other software. (reference again: msdnaa.com) also last i knew, bulldozer release date is speculated at September 19th sources:http://lenzfire.com/2011/07/amd-bulldozer-release-date-finalised-24475/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulldozer_%28processor%29 (half way down, first line under Processors)..unfortunately, the site reference for Wikipedia is in Japanese. Thor.
I'm hoping they'll come out with the 16core cpu's as well, to me a 6 core cpu versus a 8 core cpu thats probably not going to be Socket am3+ isn't worth it in my opinion. Waits for the 16 core bulldozer cpu's  http://news.softpedi...st-213103.shtml I'm hoping there will be a mainstream version of it, Edited August 8, 2011 by Thor. hoofhearted4
i have no use for 16 cores, and id assume its expensive, and i wouldnt pay it anyways. ill settle for 8 cores, and if it turns out its not worth it ill settle for the 1100t. afaik, there are only 4, 6 and 8 core versions of bulldozer (at least for the consumer market) and what do u mean it prolly wont be AM3+? Thor.
It was only because t was a new phenom, these new cpu's have a new name branded all over them the fx. It could be that they use some other socket other then am3+. Whenever they change the name of the cpu, its a garrentee it won't be socket am3. Remember the 6x stayed the same because it was a phenom branded cpu. its better then intel though, they change socket for every new cpu. Makes it harder to upgrade. Edited August 9, 2011 by Thor. hoofhearted4
im confused... i thought bulldozer was AM3+
CommanderCrazy
It is, Hoofhearted. Its AM3+, not AM3. They are different, but you can use AM3 processors on an AM3+ board, but not the other way around.
