Shouts into Spells Request

Recommended Posts

I did ask in the Mod Detectives Thread for a Mod that makes Vanilla Shouts into Spells, but it seems there isent any and i could've sworn there is a Mod that does it.

This would be great for those Alternate Start or your Not Dragonborn Mods or simply after so many playthroughs your just tired of going through the whole Wall of Power thing where you also struggle to find Dragon Souls from Dragons that just dont give you a Soul at all.

The Tomes should Only be available when your Magic Skills are at 100 and the Spells Power should Level with you.

I did found this Mod, but the OP is done with Skyrim and i dont use Steam Mods plus the fact that there are still Bugs.

He also did a Powers into Spells aswell, thus once again i would prefer a Nexus Mod please.

Personally, I have never used a mod from the Steam Workshop, but I would imagine it would be just as reliable as the Nexus, if not more. Valve runs a pretty tight ship. If you really want a mod like this, the OP has given everyone permission to edit the mod as they see fit, so if I were you, I would find a modder on the Nexus, and ask them to download it and edit it for Skyrim Nexus.

I have used Steam Mods. They work fine.

However, mixing Steam Mods with Nexus Mods can cause issues. Bad issues.

It does not always happen, but can cause serious conflicts. Also, using Steam

Mods slows (drastically) your initial Load into the Game's Main Menu, because

it prioritizes & prepares those Steam Mods prior to even loading the Game.

Steam Mods aren't a "Bad Thing", but for a Nexus User, they can be quite annoying.

They are basically meant for people that can't figure out Load Orders & can't learn

another Program in my opinion.

I disagree with you. I've been using mods from both Nexus and Steam for a long time, and any issues I've had with Skyrim have not had anything to with mods coming from both sources. It wasn't clear in your post whether or not you use NMM, but mods from Steam show up in NMM as well, so it's easy enough to place where you want in the load order. Just a guess, but I'd rather believe you've been using bad mods from Steam, or just mods incompatible with other mods you use from the Nexus.

I will say I prefer Nexus over Steam, but some mods are only on Steam, so you don't have the choice sometimes. Finally, if one can't figure out load orders, then why does one play with mods in the first place? That's basic mandatory knowledge.

I have had no issues myself from using Steam & Nexus Mods. Other people have

and have reported them as such. Currently, I am using 0 Steam Mods & am using

over 280 Nexus Mods. But I use Mod Organizer for my Mods.

You have every right to disagree. Everyone can have their own opinion. I was just

"relaying" that statement with what a lot of well-known Mod-Makers have stated as

something that can cause serious issues. Check out "Gopher's" YouTube Videos,

if you would like to hear his side of that coin.

I don't know about shout replacers, but I do know that some mod authors have created spells based on shout effects (usually something like Unrelenting Force).

I created one by request myself, actually. It adds a Master-level Destruction spell version of Storm Call: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73907/?
