wolron
In the Dwemer ruins, there is often a lot of neat machinery. In particular, that ruin by Fort Moonmoth, you know, the one where you go to find the puzzle box in the early part of the game. Question: can you use it? If so, give me a hint on how to use it. If not, is this something that the designers meant to do something with, but just never got around to?
Peregrine
Well, you'll need the puzzle box for the main quest. But other than that, its just world details.
Zedd
actualy in a few quests they reveal doors or poison you and you slowly die an agonizing death and their fun to watch :-)
cmac
"They," if you mean the Dwemer, a re all dead or gone. They cannot see anyone. And there is only one instance of poisonous steam-spewing machinery, and it is in a ruin pertaining to a Mages Guild quest. And it is actually a series of levers, not actual machinery. Malchik
The weather-machine you encounter in Tribunal could be regarded as a working Dwemer machine IMO.

Xionith
That really stinks... I was walking along, (heading for some Ordiniran (sp?) place for Hlaalu...) and I came upon a bridge, I kept going and found some Dwemer buildings, and then I came upon a Ballista! (fully loaded too...) I went to the back of it and there was a platform, so I tried to jump on but- the invisible wall knocked me down... It was just another piece of artwork sitting on the long expanses of Vvardenfell...... :P There, I explained what I think about machinery (if any of it works) in a nice story... :)
Malchik
Anyone who has a nice story - a bit longer than Xionith's - should post it in the Druid's garden. Short stories are already found there for, those with literary ambitions. I'm not sure that a lot more can be said in this thread about the use of dwemer machinery. But I'll leave it open for a while longer.
