JetSteele
So from what I gather this is an outdoor cell bug? I'm working on a custom cell so I'm curious if this will effect me in any way. If I add something to an interior cell will that cause the reset bug as well or is it only exterior ones? If I have to add a connection to the custom cell in an interior as a workaround until the bug gets fixed then I'll do that, just curious if that would be a viable workaround. Opening a form in a worldspace to look at what it does in a worldspace can also cause the bug.

chucksteel
You may be right but I was told that even moving an persistent ref would cause the issue. I'll do a test tomorrow when I'm back to working on my mod.
JetSteele
Soon I'll be setting up the connection to the world (though I'll put it in an interior just to be on the safe side), once set it up I'll post back to let you guys know if the bug is specific to the worldspace only. chucksteel
I couldn't let it go I'm not done testing but so far Doors and Navemesh seem fine and don't cause the issue. I'm off to bed now but I'll do more testing soon. Edited April 29, 2016 by chucksteel
JetSteele
From my preliminary testing, edits to interior cells don't cause the bug either.
VIitS
I think it only triggers the cell reset bug if you edit/copy a Placed Object reference that is part of a combined mesh. I'm not certain, but based on what I have learned about the workaround that lets you make changes to combined object references (such as removing a boarded up door, or getting a loose mesh replacer to load), I think the same conditions might apply here. Has anyone tested to see if just adding things to the worldspace without touching existing Placed Object references triggers the bug? If anyone wants to test it, an easy way to see if a particular reference is part of a combined mesh reference is to see if it has any Cell records in the "Referenced By" tab in xEdit. If it does, then it is part of a combined object reference.
