Adding menus with XML

Hi folks, I'd like to implement a custom menu to FO3 and FNV.

Sadly I have no clue about xml, but I figure I could learn some basics.

The problem is, where to start?

Is there an editor which is able to give a preview of the code?

Where can i find a good documentation?

Cheers

I wouldn't know any good tutorials that apply to the game itself, but it's good to know what the basics of XML are anyway.

It's more focussed on websites, but the essence is the same and will just apply on fallout as well.

There's only one mod I know that applied it and that's this one.

Thank you, this is exactly what I'm looking for. :thumbsup:

The mod is absolutely amazing btw, I didn't know that one. There are some gems scattered here...

Thanks, I'll have a closer look to them as well. :) Is it possible to add a menu without hijacking an existing one? What editor would you recommend? Edited by tortured Tomato

Not that I know of. But the tutorial menu is pretty well suited for that, cause the existing tutorial menu can be hidden easily, it already has a keyboard shortcut for exit (E), and its not used that often.

And I'm using Notepad++.
