damnkids
I've recently downloaded the NMC (performance) texture pack mod for fo3 goty (steam version, not cracked). I've tried loading it up with the fallout mod manager and the nexus mod manager as well. Nothing seems to work. It load up, installs properly but fails to appear on the plugin screen. I've tried with FXAA injector mod pack as well and the better fallout mod pack. It says they're active, but not much more. No in game difference from the original game. Please help, as you can see im quite new to the modding life. Any help is appreciated.
M48A5
NMC is a texture pack. It is not a mod with an .esp or an .esm, so nothing will show in the "Plugins". As for not showing in the game, did you toggle "Archive Invalidation" ? It found under the "Tools" tab in NMM. Along with the texture pack, did you also install the 4GB enabler as stated in the NMC discription? I am not familiar with the FXAA injector, but if it doesn't have an .esm or .esp, it also will not show in the plugins.

You really didn't see ("I advise to use the Large Address Aware Enabler for FO3 mod.") the yellow letters? It appears three times in the descriptions. If the texture pack is not working, then it is not installed correctly. I don't use NMM and installed the texture pack manually and it works perfectly. Not just activate Archive Invalidation, but turn it off and then back on. This is necessary whenever you add, remove or change textures from Fallout3. damnkids
Then what do you personally recommend? Manually downloading and inserting the files into fo3 files?
M48A5
Then what do you personally recommend? Manually downloading and inserting the files into fo3 files? The mod author advises that you use Nexus Mod Manager to install the files. I will not go against his recommendation. It is also stated that manual installation is not recommended. As I posted previously, I do not use NMM, so I installed the files manually. This should only be done if you know what you are doing.
