skubblebubble
Right now, changing the buildable area triggers the cell reset bug. In the CK, go to the cells, look for buildable area, go to primitive, and it's the bounds that you would change. NOTE: some of the settlements still have cells listed in the wilderness. A right PITA to find them all. my babylon mod on bethsite has them all changed, but, BIG BUT!, make a save before trying it in game. That one replaces all in game power armor workstations and found power armor with non-respawning versions. And it still doesn't quite work right. But, if you look at it in xEdit, you can get all the cells at least. oh, and the actual green boundary thingy is a .nif, so you'll have to edit that with nifskope if you want the boundary to match up.(no worries for just building UP)Of course you can just disable the boundary and wait for the warnings. :)

seekingthesun
If the buildable area is away from your workshop then you changed the coordinates at the bottom which change where it's centered. You need to change the boundaries instead. The cell reset bug can happen when a buildable area runs from one cell into another. My mod avoids this as much as possible which was quite time consuming because I had to match them up. However, the bug can also be triggered by scrapping mods(and a few container mods) which most people would have anyway if they are a regular settlement builder. I did that settlement mod mostly because every settlement expanded mod that I had tried used up tons of resources because it required loading more than one cell/worldspace at a time which caused memory leaks. I believe the only settlement where my mod bleeds from one cell into another is jamaica plain which was expanded to include university point. The cell reset bug can be mitigated by the cell reset workaround mod and the buildable power armor frames mod.
tawatabak
i just want my settlers to roam the place between sanctuary and red rocketso not only the buildebla area needs to get expanded but the sandbox area
seekingthesun
if you want the settlers to roam that area and you don't care about being able to build to that point you only need to expand the sandbox. OR you could just download that mod I posted. The workshop trigger might nowtextend to red rocket(because that would conflict) but i promise you the settlers can roam that area and you can build. Sanctuary is multiple cells, but just 1 file that puts a glowy border up around them all. That's why I wanna build UP. (although, a couple settlements I would like to go out a bit more.
