Gnubee
Well, that took an inordinate amount of time, but at least my game will load now. Not sure if it will actually work or not, but at least it loads and I can start a new game. Haven't got far out of Doc Mitchell's door, but so far so good. XxLunaMothxX
EDIT: *snip*. There was a 2nd page? darn... nevermind the problem seems to already be resolved... Edited July 14, 2011 by 2cooldays
Gnubee
OK, I'm still in Goodsprings, but everything seems to be working. I do get the occasional random CTD, but that is how the game has always run for me. So far I have gone through the GS Sewer (part of AWOP) and with the new mods (AWOP Monster Patch, Monster Mod and VVV) it was one heck of a fight for a 1st level character armed with a crowbar, a 9mm pistol and 23 rounds of ammo. GothikaGeist
xD You ought to try out the NV Configurator http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40442 You can customize the Fallout.ini/Fallout_default.ini/Fallout_prefs.ini to suit your computer's Specifications. Really helped me with the stuttering and crashes. Specifically, the UGridsLoaded=X setting has a HUGE impact on performance and crashes. For example, on a setting of 1the games runs smoothly, but as soon as you exit the only grid it loads, it tries to load an entire grid Right in front of you and has a high chance of crashing. New Vegas Config only allows you to drop the setting to 4 (5 is normal) but I manually edited the INI files to set it at 3.
NorthWolf
Or I can realize that there's a second page, like that other guy did. Derp. Originally I was going to point out iHUD as a possible source of woe. Glad its working, though. Edited July 14, 2011 by NorthWolf
