mohonay Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 After reinstalling oblivion, I noticed certain in game sounds weren't working. Weapon/spell sounds and small talk among NPCs still work. But sounds like equipping items in my inventory, lockpicking, and actual conversations with NPCs do not seem to work. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Striker879 Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 When you re-installed did you delete your oblivion.ini file (NOT oblivion_default.ini that is located in your Oblivion folder but the one that is located in My Documents along with your save files)? As you install it, or after you install it, you can tell it to repair your current codecs. Try that. You may also want to try a clean boot. You've tried regenerating your Oblivion.ini and checking your in-game and in INI audio settings?
