qualadutyblackops
in fallout new vegas, you never find hostile robots in the wasteland like you would in fallout 3 robot revolution: swarms of robots invade the wasteland and takes control of all the robots including the securitrons. you fight in a desperate war to stop the robots from killing everyone.pulse weapons, armor piercing ammo, slugs, anti material rifles, and gauss rifles will be vital due to even the weakest robots will have formidable armor. huntsman2310a
The reason there aren't as many hostile robots in the Vegas wastes is because there weren't many military bases around New Vegas, it wasn't a strategic target, just a Mecca out in the desert. Besides go look at the Area 51 mod, at the front gate of the base there are like a ton of robots just itching to vaporize you.

Which Area 51 mod there are like...4 last time I counted, one of which would interfere with Lonesome Road due to the courier wreckage being the entrance for both. Also in real life Vegas and it's surrounding desert were home to countless military instalations, mostly nameles little bunkers in the desert filled with equipment and soldiers for a time (or at least prepared for soldiers to be there) and prepared in case of major war every coming to our shores.
