Are you getting CTD with 1.5 Update? Here is the FIX

Ok so you have to try this "fix"

First of all: It is CONFIRMED That the mods: DEF_UI, Pleasant UI and Valdacyl Item Sorting, Are the mods that are getting CTD Problems at Start Up, new game,loading games etc, Any mod that changes UI is getting CTD. And those have to be updated!

Also do this= "change back to doing Archive Invalidation the old way. Remember when you needed to add:

, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\, VIDEO\

To the end of:

SResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\

under [Archive] in Fallout4.ini ? Well now you need to do that again. Remove bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and your Fallout4Custom.ini, too. Everything should load at that point."

and you have to do this as well:

Load your MODS with NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) ,Dont run the game, just make sure they are checked in the plugings tab, go to your appdata/Local/Fallout4 in here there is a plugins.txt file should look like this:

-# This file is used by Fallout4 to keep track of your downloaded content.

-# Please do not modify this file.

*Mod.esm

*Mods.esp

*MODS.esp

If not, just put * before the name of the file, save and change the file to READ ONLY.

Then launch the game with the Game LAUNCHER, the Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) or the Normal .exe, NOT FROM NMM

i still use it and it works fine, most problems come from mods, peeps just add and add and then boom after any update, and then they blame beth, but infact its there own fault

i never have any problem after any update but then again i use only 3 mods and some textures, and if i install anything else i do it the old manual way, much better then those crappy mod managers

My problem is that everything with all my mods works fine until I try to load a save, that's when it crashes.

 

I've heard people say to remove UI mods? Well, when I do that, the game doesn't even get that far, it crashes after I press a button to bring up the main menu.

all i did was add the patches for DEF_UI and it worked again

I'm not sure Valdacil's item sorting is a culprit, though Def_Ui definitely was. WHen I was getting the CTDs I disabled all mods and enabled them one by one to troubleshoot. I had no problem loading a game with Valdacil activated.

That's my experience anyway, fwiw.
