rcy68
can i use fmm with 2 different fo3 installs on same computer? want one with different mod setup. not real confident about the profile option, and i have plenty of room for 2. in theory, seems better. but then, i`m computer illiterate, so what do i know? don`t need to know why, if not. wouldn`t understand it anyway Edited April 30, 2016 by rcy68
magmameister
I'm not entirely sure if FOMM will support two separate FO3 installs but there is an option with Nexus mod manager to save mod profiles with different mod setups that you can swap between, effectively negating the need to have two separate game installs. Hope that helps! :)
rcy68
thx for the reply. didn`t think it was possible. non-issue now, though. decided to use MO instead of NMM after watching some tutorials on youtube. the profiles seem to work better. Gopher says it`s not for beginners, but it seems much easier to me. time will tell. but after re-installing FO3 3 times trying to use FMM, i figure what the hell. i`ll go for it. although i have already run into a snag that has me scratching my head. a "Bashed Patch, 0.esp" with 64kb in it showed up in my overwrite file when i installed wrye bash into MO. creating a 64kb mod seems like worthless clutter. or i could drag&drop it somewhere, it says, but no idea where to drop it. only have four performance mods installed. and the overwrite was empty after i put them in. tempted to delete it and cross my fingers. i`ve re-installed 3 times, what`s one more. saw someone with a vaguely similiar problem on S.T.E.P. forum who asked if he could delete it, and they said it shouldn`t be a problem. wow, i wrote a book, here. sorry. magmameister
Haha it's no problem, just hoped I could provide a bit of support. Unfortunately as I don't use MO I can't really help you out there. ^^;
