Lessons in modding?

I'm sure there must be some easy step by step instructions for newbies in modding, somewhere on Nexus or Wiki, most likely.

 

After a couple of years on Nexus I've begun to tweak the Construction set a little but I don't know any more than that yet. I'd like to know how to make a script, and how to place an object right where you want it in a cell, and how to build a home and a companion and stuff like that.

 

But I'd need really easy step by step instructions, no complicated stuff. I think I may have seen some, in the past, but I'm not sure. I can't seem to find it now.

 

I've got a copy of Oblivion on the X-Box 360, which can't be modded, but I've also got a copy on my Dad's computer and I can do some modding there, if he doesn't need it. Thanks in advance if you can help me.

There's a lot of beginner tutorials there...with a couple made by the devs themselves.

 

Also, there are modding "classes" here: http://tesalliance.org/forums/ (check under "The Enclave")

 

In addition, if you're having trouble with a mod, you may want to post under the "Oblivion Mod Troubleshooting" thread. Someone else may be able to assist you fairly quickly.
