80sReco
He didn't really do anything to become a divine, all he did was just come from Skyrim and conquer Cyrodiil, how exactly does that make him a divine? Alessia rose above the Altmer and we didn't make her a divine, the only one really qualified for becomming a divine would be Martin since he tranformed into Akatosh. Can someone explain exactly why it's Nine and not Eight? Sorry btw, english is my second language.
WrathOfDeadguy
Those actions didn't make him a Divine- he ascended afterwards, becoming Talos. I think his position in the Nine is somewhat analogous to Ares, the Greek god of war... as to why he ascended in the first place, I don't know if the game provides enough information to answer that. KotN lets us know that not everybody counts Talos/Tiber Septim among the Divines; some give him sort of a special status that places him between man and god. Still, it would be nice to have some more background on him, seeing as how we get to visit and purify his shrine and all...
