If I load any of my saves, I crash, and if I make a New Game I crash when Doc Mitchell gives me my Pipboy. Well, my readius. I'll try reinstalling the Readius. Did you delete all your old saves before you you restarted the new game (for some reason old game saves still manage to corrupt new game saves if they're still in the save folder)? Are all the autosave functions disabled? Have you used quick save since you restarted? My game just started crashing again, that's why I'm back on the boards. I was doing fine (sans companions) until I gave in and started using quick save again. I couldn't resist because it's so immersion breaking to keep having to do manual saves and the auto incremental save just isn't doing it for me. I hope some one out there can come up with a quick save mod that works. Also if you made any changes to grid load that will trash all your saves. Although One save that I leave at mitchell's house for mod loading and testing never corrupts. The two saves that DID get corrupted, were both in the EXACT same spot. Lieutenant Hayes' Tent right outside of Primm. My autosaves are ALWAYS disabled, and I never use quicksave. I only save manually, got used to it because I started playing Fallout on the Xbox 360. Oh, and I ALWAYS mess with my loaded grids. It never crashed until I overwrote the Shrapnel Weapon Collection mod and added Invisible Wall Remover and Operation Fixed Terrain (about 3-4 hours ago). By the way, I overwrote the Shrapnel mod with the same version of that mod, so I don't see why it'd make me crash. I also re-updated my animations (Weapon Animation Replacer) which didn't alleviate it. BUT, it does work now. reinstalling Readius and the Shiloh Clean Pipboy and Shiloh Map & Icons helped. Also, I didn't move the Readius.esp to the top of ESPs until I reinstalled it, I forgot to do that after I installed Ivisible wall Remover and Operation Fixed Terrain. maboru Posted July 17, 2011 Share Posted July 17, 2011 Actually, I take it grid load only trashes saves if you decrease it after increasing it. I've got a pretty sturdy rig so I think I'll try increasing it to see if that helps. Also I'm glad you mentioned it, I just noticed my Readius has slipped down from the top. Splash93 Posted July 17, 2011 Author Share Posted July 17, 2011 I've completely dodged my crash issues by replacing all my graphics mods (Imaginator, Electro-City, Custom Lighting Overhaul, Enhanched Shaders) with the Project Westland Vision mod. It looks wonderful and I've played for about two hours without any issues. Also it blends in with the game's art-style much more nicely since it doesn't use ENBseries. NV Game StabilizerA8 helped out my original pre-patch game but I've tired of the bump in speed as well, do you happen to remember off the top of your head which ini entry controls player speed? Plus I'm not so sure all the red on red it creates in FNVEdit is all benign. I'll look into the V-Sync thing for my setup. I'm also hoping that they rev Stutter Remover soon so I can reinstall that, although I'm not really experiencing stutter so much as pausing between exterior cells. maboru Posted July 17, 2011 Share Posted July 17, 2011 Yes, it appears that the last two patches have altered the way the game deals with companions so many (at least) mod companions made with the old Geck have been causing problems. I of course have not tested them all but Sunny Companion, all my RR companions, Misty, and Sarah Conner caused problems for me that were eliminated after I de-mobbed them. I think the only fix is for them to be re-Gecked with the new one. Splash93, could you provide a link to Project Westland Vision, I'm having trouble locating it? I find PWV too bright for my tastes but to each his own. What do you mean "De-Mobbed"? Do you mean having only one companion traveling with the courier at a time? Also, what is "re-gecking"? Is that a re-write of the mod or just going into the GECK and resaving the mod under the new GECK, or does it mean something else?
