infernohero
Mind you it would take a LOT of work! But how cool would it be if Bethesda made an optional update to Oblivion that added all of the skyrim items, updated the graphics, and tweaked the game engine to make the game run better once skyrim was out? (Before anyone says "You're just saying this because you want skyrim!" They are right, thats why I pre-ordered it 3 months ago.)
ub3rman123
They aren't going to do that. Remember Morroblivion? The gist of it is, Bethesda has licensed assets for their games, and transferring those assets to another game would be a breach of contract, possibly leading to a lawsuit. Balakirev
Well, what you suggest--Bethsoft doing this--would probably be legal. But as they've long since called it quits on Oblivion, they're not likely to take it up again, soon. I can't recall Bethsoft ever revisiting an earlier title of theirs, save to do add-ons. I suspect it's because all the work you suggest would take an enormous amount of effort that might be placed behind a new title, but I don't really know.
