Does anyone listen to the History Channel?

The History Channel could be more aptly called the Military Channel and I leave it on as background noise all the time. Always been a sucker for documentaries but find the Science Channel at least has new ones. :whistling:

There's a Military Channel too, on the extended cable package around here. Not sure I get a science channel.

Oh yes have all three Military channels..no Science channel?..too bad they do really good astrophysics, geology, cosmology documentaries.

I still have to rely on Hulu, YouTube, and Netflix for my background noise needs. Too cheap to pay for cable and the only thing my TV can pick up otherwise is Fox.

At least I can rely on those three to never go totally focused on one thing like the History Channel.

I just listen to music on youtube. No T.V. in the computer room thou the only shows I would watch are not intesting enough to get me off the computer as the funnyist thing that I watch is re-dubed episodes of Yu-gee-oh (I'm not looking up how to type it!) and Gordan Freeman be snarky. Also you have to pay for porn channels .

Cable channels have become nonstop non-reality shows (that's not MY reality they show) or reruns of Law & Order or the various CSIs.

History with their axmen, ice road truckers and similar, A&E with deadliest catch etc. MTV showing drama shows instead of music and the rest. There is no history on the history channel, No arts or entertainment on A&E and no music on MTV.

I have discontinued cable altogether and gone back to an antenna. There is nothing I want to watch on cable anymore.

When cable first came out they promised us NO commercials (They lied) , and a separate channel for whatever type of show you preferred. They seem to have lost their way. In return I, as well as a lot of other people, have disconnected them.

G4 totally ruined techtv.

Tech TV had several programs I liked. They were the first ones cut when G4 took over.

It went from a channel where they actually discussed TECH to one where all they did was babble about whatever console game was all the rage this week.
