Turn off light sources?

I'm looking for a mod that lets you 'turn off' lights, by clicking use on them, or any way really. I know there was a mod that let you click out some candles, but it really only worked on a few of them. So I was wondering if there was a mod that let you turn out most light sources somehow?

I doubt that a "universal" light switch mod is available. The current technology that allows a candle to be "unlit" requires an activator that is linked to a static reference( such as a candle). Then depending on the "state" of the reference ( enabled or disabled) then the picture of the candle with the flame displayed is shown(enabled), or else the picture of the candle with the flame off, is shown( disabled). There are a multitude of "lights" in Oblivion and each one would require a second hidden one to be superimposed in the same space. Have you ever wondered why the creators of Oblivion left all the torches, streetlamps and braziers burning all through the day? It's because to turn them off requires duplicated object files at each "light" location. It wasn't worth the memory bandwidth for the size of the benefit.:)

That make sense, but like I said there was a mod that did a good amount of the candles, and I just find it frustrating when I get to a room where I want to pass by someone but then that particular candle can't be turned off. Mod authors have gone to great lengths to make their mods good so I didn't think it would be to unrealistic to hope something more 'global' could be around
