Windows 10 - How to set enblocal.ini for stability? GTX 980Ti 6GB Card.

Hello guys,

 

I can't seem to accomplish a stable setting. The game keeps crashing at various points.

Let me guide you through the steps I took installing the mods and maybe you can give

me a few pointers.

 

1. Installed SKYRIM from Steam, Nexus MM. Used the latest LOOT + TES5Edit to clean mods.

I went with "RealVision ENB - FULL VERSION" so I meticulously followed the instructions for installation from this page

except instead "Verdant Grass" I am using "Unbelievable Grass Two". Please note I used 2K textures

and Parallax where possible. The heavy "WARZONES - Civil Unrest 2015" also uses 2K NPC option.

2. I looked at different 4GB Memory patch options including SSME, Prepatch Killer, Safety Load

and decided to go with the "Skyrim Project Optimization" option plus "Sheson's SKSE Memory Patch"

by creating my own SKSE.ini with these settings:

Sometimes I speedrun through the terrain and the game never crashes (few minor fps

drops from 60 to 40 during heavy Civil War, Dragon Attacks)

PROBLEMS: I hear there is no work around Windows 10 limiting older games to 4GB. My absolute priority is to accomplish NO CRASHES to desktop and try to preserve solid 60fps as much as possible!!! Can someone please help me set up the system so that my Windows 10 can take full advantage of memory patch settings or whatever I need to do? Thanks.

You don't have ENBoost installed or the threads setup in the ini.

Other than that, using the full version and all of the mods from realvision page is really heavy on it's own.

Adding more mods on top of that might just be too much for Skyrim to handle.

I'm not sure about the windows 10 problem? I never had problems with it to be honest.

 

Sometimes changing your settings in the nvidia control panel for Skyrim itself can help as well.

I think the realvision or truevsion page has some info on that. (tripple buffering, fxaa, etc)

 

What's more is that I personally found truevision working better (and looking better) than realvision. But that's just a opinion.

It has two folders: Default and Less Stuttering. So I just tried copying one

of those into my main Skyrim folder. Isn't it how ENBoost installed, am I missing a step?

Your pc can, it's quite the beast ;)

Skyrim engine even with skse and enboost.. not so much ( it definitly makes a deifference though!)

Your missing threads section in your enb ini. So enboost is not set up correctly. I strongly advice to watch at least gophers videos on skse and enboost, if time is precious and you don;t have time to watch the ones above ;)

Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know, I did a clean install of Windows 10 then Skyrim and could not get realvision to work, so what I did was tried an older version of enbhost which was 0.262 istead of 0.279 and everything works but dof, not sure why but I've given up on trying to get it to work, I have about 40 other mods installed and its running great so I'm going to leave it at that.

In your SKSE ini the scrap heap size shouldnt be changed leave it at 256.

 

Use memory blocks log to determine top number.

even with a 980ti your video memory size should and will be set to 3714 due to windows 10 4gb limit
