Utyran
What i like with the new Skyrim design is, that it is a way more realistic than the bright green Fairy Tale Landscapes from Oblivion. I like fantasy games where the world looks credible and probable.
Iv000
It does look more "normal", but I am hoping to see unique enviroments that look more like Oblivion's and Morrowind's.What I like the most is that Skyrim gives a unique feel, like Morrowind. Other then realistic enviroments, I like how they are approaching combat.Arrows do a lot more damage, stealth kills are fatal, murdering people is stealthy finally etc.
Netwit2008
A friend of mine actually had the chance to visit E3 this year and got to play a demo of Skyrim! Lucky Dog!! He salivated just telling me about it, lol  He does say he is now UBER excited. Says gameplay is awesome, environment is awesome, so he's chomping at the bit. Thought we could use a report like this. Gives us more to look forward to
Mchailas
I just hope they do the mountains well. Coming from a mountainous region, I felt that Oblivion's mountains were terrible. From the looks of it Skyrim is vastly improved in this area, if not a bit unrealistic.

Games are getting better and better at those (again when viewed from afar). In terms of realism, I'm more worried about the snow. Sure, they've got the "dynamic" snow but games seldom managed to give the proper feel of snow deeper than one centimetre.
draconix
I think Minecraft does a pretty good job of giving me that 2-3 centimeter feel. :teehee: Anyway, I usually find that the best way to add realism is to actually add a splash of surrealism. Let's face it, there's no way that they can make the game 100% realistic. So what would be best at trying to do is make a game that aims for realism, but to add some things that blatantly don't fit it 100% to make it clear that this world you are in is not the world you are used to, and therefore should not be compared directly. I'm positive that Skyrim has done this, just as their previous games have.
Mchailas
Perhaps even more than improving the way the terrain looks, I would like to see a greater degree of tree variety... Trees that don't simply grow in straight vertical lines on the side of the mountain. Most games look like the trees are embedded into the landscape rather than actually growing, it would be neat to see roots and such overgrowing little used trails and such.
