hadoumastery
This is a pretty simple topic, I want to know what you thought of Old World Blues. My thoughts were that it had a unique feel where some of the other DLCs had a bit of generic-ness to it. It had some of that old style fallout humor, but at the same time some new humor, it brought back the old fallout feelings and made some new ones. I always thought that the new fallouts lacked a bit in the amount of humor and other things the old games had, though don't get me wrong I also love the improvements that come with the new games though. I mean I hope the next game in the series has a bit more tactical things to it (like fallout tactics had) but all in all, I thought OWB was great. Definitely the best DLC to date, and the fact that you can return to it and have a great player home in it is even more to add to it. OWB honestly kept me laughing a lot by what some of the NPCs did/said. To me this is what fallout should be like. So what are your thoughts on this? SpeedyB64
I love the dlc. It sort of reminds me of a well made mod though. They did do a few things that are on my list of unprofessional modder-like things. But other than some minor quality issues and over-reuse of old assets it was a great DLC, much more personality than the others.

I haven't gotten this yet and am sort of on the fence.
SpeedyB64
A good example would be the sideways cabinet above the work bench. I do have to confess that I am a bit of a perfectionist. I'm also used to how Bethesda made the dlc for Fallout 3, Obsidian's dlc lacks some of the art design and uniqueness. Obsidian tends to re-use old assets more than Bethesda did, likely due to a lower budget. The biggest thing I have noticed is that Bethesda was the best with their art design and Obsidian has been better with the Witty dialog, especially in this dlc. Korodic
I would get the DLC, everyone I know loves it and says the landmass is huge. I myself have it but have been too busy modding to play it.
hadoumastery
I myself love the amount of space in the Big MT. And the humor just gives even more to it. As well as the "Personality" and attitude of things in it. But I will agree to the point of re-using old assets, they do that quite a bit and the artwork may lack a bit, but looking past those minor issues, I think this really is the best DLC for NV, I'd have to say the best one for Fo3 was Point lookout, that one had the best feel to me for Fo3. But back on topic... I hope to see more DLCs or even a new game more like OWB, it just had a better feel altogether I thought, especially the weapons lol. The K-9000 was very unique (even if it did use near the same design as any minigun) and the sonic emitter was great, I thought that it was one of the most important things they put into it, something that can disable electronic things like force fields and and finally, the MK.II stealth suit topped it all of, it had a little personality of it's own which really gave it more of a unique feel even if it re-used a mesh from dead money. -One of the things that made me laugh the most was gene splicing, if you splice a lobotomite with a robot it's just too funny lol. hadoumastery
Yeah so did I. My tops are OWB and Point Lookout. Boken steel is great one for letting you play after the MQ. I would have liked the pitt more if it didn't have so many glitchy areas (maybe I just have a bad copy?) and I liked the landscape and tribal feel to HH but felt it lacked some, and was really too short and most definitely did not have enough landscape. Not to mention I got a major glitch at the beginning of it where I had to abandon the caravan because I couldn't kill the tribals attacking us due to some glitches which really got me off on a bad start with that DLC. But OWB I had no trouble with, there may be a few minor glitches but I didn't experience them, and the humor, landscape and feel of it all made me want to replay it multiple times (and I did). LoneWastelander
I like this DLC, expecially the think tank. They are HILARIOUS!!! The new weapons and armors are nice, expecially the Stealth Suit MKII.But there are a very big goof: the dialogue with your brain is totally wrong because you wonder: "If your brain doesn't want to leave, why aren't you like that Lobotomites?". Edited August 12, 2011 by LoneWastelander
DrakenGuard
In essence its a winner. Im just loving the sheer high-techness of the DLC, great resources here, though reusing the models is a minus. If only they did not remove the Zeta models to a full extent, we could of seen a hybridasation of human and Alien tech. Ah well, thats why we come into it.
