Invisible NPC/Custom Armor- Need Help

Okay, this has been driving me completely mental for the past few hours now. Something so incredibly simple it's not even funny. It works fine in the editor and looks good in NifSkope. But, once ingame- it makes the person/thing equipping it completely invisible. I had the clothes themselves show up once, but the body remained invisible. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. Attached are the Nif files, please tell me what i'm doing wrong. Yes I know the armor looks bad atm- I just wanted to get this working ingame. PS- I made sure the item itself had the race checked.

Update: Skeleton is now visible ingame again. Armor is not.

I killed it, looted the item- equipped it myself, invisible arms.

What slot should I make the clothes for the Skeleton to equip it, or is it simply impossible?

Well, I can't see anything outwardly wrong with the meshes. Did you enable the outfit for the Skeleton Race or whatever race your custom creature is in the CK? By default outfits are basically only able to be equipped on the races you can choose at character creation, (plus the Vampire variants of them) So if you copied another outfit's data and then changed the meshes to your outfit, it may not be enabled for the race of the NPC.

Generally the slot/partition you would normally use is 32 - Body for pretty much everything. You can use some of the others, but you must make sure to set exactly the same slots/partitions in both the .nif files and in the CK. Your mesh is 32 for the top and 32 + 38 (calves) for the pants, which is fine for that outfit.

Also, the outfit has no "body" inside it ... Skyrim replaces the entire body with whatever the new outfit mesh is compromised of, so without a body inside, you will only have the cloth and no body. (which is why you appear "armless"

That I did, works for pretty much any playable custom race- but anything remotely non player related screams at clothing like it's a disease

Slots are correct then, since the only thing I've changed was in nifskope and that was to remove the arm model- I even went ahead and opened an unmodified version in 3ds max and tried that, no change

That makes sense- Skyrim is so convoluted compared to Fallout 3, it's annoying XD
