Wasn't sure from your post if you were having problems with DAO Mod Manager or DAModder or both. If it's DAModder, was DAModder working before and suddenly stopped? If so, I had this problem--see the comments by Doldrik and myself under the comments section here:

I deleted the DAModder back up folder in the "My Documents" folder--this folder is not in the Bioware folder but located in My Documents as a separate folder. Once I deleted it, DAModder started working again. It might be worth a try.

I also use DAO Mod Manager, but I've never had a problem with it, so if it's acting up, too, I don't have an answer for you, but I'm sure somebody else will. If you haven't already, you may want to check the DAO Mods Troubleshooting section and see if you can find an answer there.

The one time I had a problem with DAModManager (DAMM) was when I had to do a re-installation (over the top, that is) of Windows.

The re-install gave me a new account on my PC, and re-mapped everything related to my personal settings to the new location. Unfortunately, that didn't include DAMM, so DAMM was still pointing to my old folders.

The moral of the story: check your paths/folders in DAMM to be sure you're pointing to the right locations.

That was the ONLY time issue I've had with DAMM, and it was largely my own fault (not entirely - I didn't CHOOSE to do a re-install of Windows...I had no choice, but you get the idea).

  • 2 years later...

I just got both DAModder and DAModManager. They won't work. I click on the DAMM file and it always says "DA Mod manager has stopped working". When I click the DAModder file a black box appears for two seconds and then nothing happens. This is pretty frustrating. I'm a computer illiterate though, I'm probably doing something wrong.

StarHunterOrion;

1. Re-Boot (always a good idea when a program is repeatedly returning the "Stopped Working" error.)

2. Try setting DAMM to "Run as Administrator".

3. And as Sync182 pointed out, be sure you have all the paths assigned correctly under the "Options" tab (the one on the far-right of the top-line menu.)

Can't help with DAM, I don't use it... :ermm:
