HoneyGirl
Ghouls and some other creatures are so frightful! o_O I would love to delete all of them.. A lot of other girls also don't wanna play it because the game is like a nightmare! Maybe it's possible to delete them for instance in G.E.C.K., or replace with the textures of raiders... help plz
sagittarius22
While a mod like this would be possible, I don't know why someone would do it... Ghouls are a part of the Fallout's lore and Fallout without ghouls would be like Mario without mushrooms
danshive
You should, in theory, be able to edit the race settings for ghouls to make them less ghoulish. This will create compatibility issues with any other mods that modify races, however, and would require you to extract the textures and meshes from the BSA. I don't have time right now to explain that, but it can be done using the FOMM. It's also possible to just go into the GECK, select the ghouls section under NPC, and change their races one by one. As for the Feral ghouls, replacing them is a lot trickier because they are creatures with their own creature model settings. I'm not sure how one would successfully replace their models, but you could change leveled creature lists so it's raiders that you'll encounter instead. That's a looooot of editing, however. I think the easiest solution is to just say "ew" and put up with the ghouls... or only edit the ones in Gomorrah o_O;
Korodic
I'm not usually one to not give a straight answer, but honestly if these scare you, then you have problems. Simply saying that if something like a natural disaster were to happen, you wouldn't be the one keeping calm. If you want to make it scare you less, and don't want to put work into fixing your issue, I suggest simply turning up your gamma (which will make the game brighter in darker places) and keep the volume down, so you don't jump form being "spooked". HoneyGirl
thanks, guys, but it's so hard for me to work in this GECK, can u help me?
Glenstorm
Pretending that this modification is not a HUGE gamebreaker, here is the easiest way to go. It is possible, quite simple in fact. I can run you through it but its pretty basic and does come with limitations:-> NPC ghouls sound the same->Does not work on ferals or glowing ones (Or Jason at the rocket test site, but of this I'm not entirely sure).->They spout the same hair (or lack thereof) Assuming you are okay with that, follow the steps below. No need of GECK for this. Though you do need FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager). You can download it from the nexus. Go FOMM --> Tools --> BSA Browser. Open Fallout - Textures.bsa and extract all files in textures/characters/male and textures/characters/female and put it somewhere (Desktop maybe). In the Data folder in your Fallout New Vegas directory, create a folder textures/characters/ghoul and textures/characters/ghoulfemale. Put everything you extracted from male folder to ghoul and everything you extracted from female folder to ghoulfemale. That should do it. EDIT: This also make them look like creepy aliens so you're probably better off with the default look.http://i56.tinypic.com/34j1ts8.jpg Edited August 15, 2011 by Glenstorm
