It was one of those things that slowly creepy in. Does anyone see any mods here that look like they'd cause quite a few crashes on loads. Be it fast travel, F9, or just walking through a door into a place that needs loading? I'm running Steam Fallout NV, obviously with all DLC. I didn't really notice HUGE issues till after I grabbed Old World Blues, but I'm not entirely sure any of these mods should be breaking it. While I await the endless wisdom of these forums I'll try the ole "remove stuff till it works" trick :). I don't think I've noticed a difference, even tried gamebooster to see if it was a conflict with another running program. Ruled that out I think. maboru
Try installing fnv4gb - http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip - to your SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas directory, create a short cut from the .exe to your desktop and load the game with the shortcut. Works great for many people. [You may want to then experiment with Game Stabilizer because it conflicts with some mods and FNVEdit sometimes (check it's mod page for compatibility updates), so try disabling that to see if it makes any difference.] Edited July 24, 2011 by maboru

I've turned off most mods and am still having an issue. Man New Vegas looks lame without NVR >_>...it had been so long I thought that was Vanilla. Update: I hate to count my pigeons before they are chickens but this looks like it fixed my problem. Thanks a bunch! :D (Will update if I'm wrong but didn't crash since you post, that is much longer than normal.
oafkad
Far less critical, your help worked great for reducing crashes (Only once in the last 3-4 hours, as opposed to that many in less than an hour). It's not a big deal but I don't like crashing, makes me nervous :). Thanks in advance to whoever answers, if anyone does. Regardless Maboru is awesome. maboru
Are you using "Threaded Audio" in your .ini through Configator? If so just go back to no Threaded Audio, it really doesn't help much and it usually causes crash on exit. Also try moving Nevada Skies to the bottom. You may also want install - http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40128 - and load it dead last (under Nevada Skies.)
