Ripebear
Hi. I tried Fallout: NV on Xbox 360 because I absolutely love Elder Scrolls but the graphics and gameplay on 360 just didn't seem too good. So now I'm coming back to my trusty PC and hopefully this will show me the great game people tell me about. As an old time Morrowind/Oblivion player I'm used to modding the game to the max before playing it, graphically and.. well any essential mods that really improve the game. Don't go lightly if there's a ton of them let me know I like to get the most out of a PC game. So any recommenddations? Thanks.
flequmaster
You'll definitely want to check out Project Nevada, Fallout Mod Manager for well.. easy mod management and load orders, Beware of Girl Type 3 Hi Rez pack, Nevada Skies, various weapon mods like SVD Dragunov, AK47, VSS, Desert Eagle, M110, ACR, PSG-1, Scar H to name a few but there are a ton of good armor packs and weapon packs out there. Although be ready to customize some of the weapons and armors in GECK for the balance you want because for example the PSG-1 is hella well made sniper but the stats are kinda OP so it requires a little toning down. Some of the names are also kinda wacky so I prefer to rename some armors and weapons in there too and I usually raise the prices of these items a lot and place them for a merchant to sell cus' I dont like the game to be too easy. Theres also a very well made Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) armor/clothing pack for female chars. Also definitely download the Ojo Bueno and Poco Bueno texture packs, the detailed normals mod, dals better faces mod, FNV enhanced shaders and hypno toads face and body mod for much better graphics Edited July 25, 2011 by flequmaster
MyGoodEye
Heya... okay, first you can't use OJO and POCO at the same time as one will overwrite the other... ... and you shouldn't use them in combination with DETAILED NORMALS (in my opinion, Detailed Normals is best if you have to run low res otherwise I find it makes things look too much like chewed gum, but that's me) since the author of OJO and POCO went through great trouble to make his own suitable normals (which I think are better anyway). If you want total in-game control of your game's colors, brightness, contrast, power of all the lights and tint : IMAGINATORIf you want to add real-time depth-of-field (like an autofocus camera) : DYNAVISION2If you want to add a little grain/grit : CINEMATECHIf you want to control ALL of the above : DIRECTORS CHAIR (it's awesome). To use it you'll need MCM : MOD CONFIGURATION MENU I personally recommend ELECTRO-CITY (because I made it and I like it), which adds more light sources throughout the game world. If you want MORE KILLIN': WARZONES - MISANTHROPY PURE (adds, big fights and new cities/areas... again, I made it, but I dig it... if your computer can handle it, give it a shot).A WORLD OF PAIN (I had nothing to do with it, but it's great)INCREASED WASTELAND SPAWNS (love it)MONSTER MOD (also known as MoMod it seems, adds more variety to the monsters)I also like MODIFIED COMBAT VALUES v2 for a tad more challenge. More THINKIN'/KILLIN' QUEST MODS: TALES FROM THE BURNING SANDS NEW VEGAS BOUNTIES I & II WEATHER:Hands down you want NEVADA SKIES - URWLIFIED Tweaking your system:No contest, you want FNV CONFIGATOR (spelling error intentional apparently). INVENTORY CONTROL :BIS INVENTORY SORTING (Brumbek's INventory Sorting) TIMESCALE ADJUSTING :IMP'S TIMESCALE ADJUSTER Some cool new Trees and Foliage:VURT'S WASTELAND FOLIAGE something or other... search for Vurt I'm sure I'm missing some stuff (and I omitted that which was mentioned above, although in all honestly, I do not use too many weapon or clothing mods all that much), but this oughta get you started. Sorry, I'm too lazy to link, but using search you'll be okay. Any questions, feel free to ask here or on my mod pages.

sagittarius22
(making my advertisment here) Project Ultimatum adds more possibilities about sneaking, making diversions and enhances the gameplay in a lore-friendly and conflict-free way.Just read the description and tell me what you think about it! It's compatible with The Mod Configuration Menu as well.
EnjoyingTable
I should *hopefully* be getting a new computer that can run New Vegas as I am tiring of it on 360. Anyway I was wondering are there any working mods that extend the game past its ending? Also is the GECK free as I would be interested in learning to mod FNV. sagittarius22
If the GECK was not free, I would not have bought it :D
