Recently, my game has gotten rather crash happy and I can't shake the feeling that it might be because of a unoptimized load order or obsolete mods due to the new patch. I should stress that with this current load order, the game DOES work but it works extremely sluggishly and crashes a lot. Infact, now I can't go 5 minutes without a CTD. Wyre Flash gives me some mods that are yellow in color. I also run with Ojo Bueno, Textures In Time, Detailed Normals and NV Texture Recreation. All this with the FNV4GB Loader, NVSEv2 Beta 9 and NVSR (which does nothing as of the newest patch). Also, I should mention that it is impossible for me to quit normally even before it got crash happy. I've always had to quit through the task manager. Questions? Comments? Suggestions? maboru Posted July 26, 2011 Share Posted July 26, 2011 I'm no expert but first I'd move Better Game performance to the bottom. When I was having the same problems after the 1.4 patch I found that FOOK, Sunny Smiles Companion, Melissa companion and Interior Lighting were giving me problems. Others have reported IWR and Project Nevada not doing so well. The thing that ultimately got me back to "normal" was installing fnv4gb into my fallout new vegas directory, creating a desktop short cut to it and launching the game from that after running Configator to maximize all my ini settings. I'm now in the process of gradually enlarging my mod load to see what works for my rig. Unfortunately many mods built before the new GECK are experiencing 1.4 problems for many people. ETPC Posted August 1, 2011 Author Share Posted August 1, 2011 Even with a 560 Ti and a i7? Sometimes I forget how well gamebyro.....performs. Also, moving BGP around didn't fix the CTD, sadly.
