And if he's in the Statehouse in Goodneighbor and not forced to follow?

You probably know this but if you follow a couple of the endings it is scripted that Glory dies. Even if you don't follow those endings she is still classed as dead and even though she is walking round Railroad HQ she is "dead" so everyone refers to her as dead. However I played the Curie story after the ending so Glory was magically restored to life and can talk to you.

I've even posted about it elsewhere. But Glory returns to ghost mode when the quest is over, and doesn't have a whole lot to do with this circumstance because what's going on there is a plot hole. There wasn't supposed to be any way around Glory's death, so after that point in the story there's no scripted dialog for her, and everyone else is scripted to mourn. She's not 'marked as dead', she's forgotten as being outside the questline.

Hi. I saw your request for assistance in the comments section of Companions Go Home.

With the mod installed, run this console command:

cqf home resetactor 22615

Hopefully, you'll receive a message saying Hancock will return home to Old State House.

The command will lift the overriding package on Hancock that is keeping him from returning home. If the reason why he isn't behaving is because of you assigning him to a settlement before he can be actually recruited, this should hopefully help. Otherwise, if there are other underlying issues then you might need something else.

That got him to get back home, many thanks ;)

He doesn't seem to want to give his speech though but I guess then I'm facing a different issue.

Have a similar one already installed. Can get him to follow me but that's still the only thing he says.

It sounds like you are still using the older .bat file version....even the author of that mod has switched over to the newer mod, so it might be worth your time to try out the mod that I linked.

EDIT: I see you have gotten some resolution to your issue from registrator2000, so good, but would still make the switch if I were you.

"Have a similar one already installed" is what I wrote, like you yourself quoted. I use this one.

I'll be trying this one today nevertheless. Still don't think it'll conveniently fix the problem. Specially since I don't have access to his recruitment dialog.

EDIT: Nope. Still can't recruit him and he just won't give his goddamn speech.

Yeah, and once again we are force-fed a scripted conclusion that makes no sense. If Glory has enough life in her to make conversation, and I have as many Stimpacks on me as is typical of the Sole Survivor at that point, her death should be 100% preventable. It's not all that dramatic, it's certainly not satisfying, and it's absolutely not immersive. =>[.]<=

This sure is getting off-topic.

So I've been trying a few things. Well, re-trying things mostly. The only new thing I tried was using the console to force Hancock to respawn after I got him back to Goodneighbour. Still he won't give his speech.

  • 2 weeks later...

have you tried the following console commands?

setstage 22a07 270 1

or

completequest 22a07

I don't have that quest and judging by this I already finished it long ago.

EDIT: In fact I don't have any quest on my log right now.
