xzxMikeDxzx
I have THIS LAPTOP and I'm using it to play Fallout New Vegas. My Specs:AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs P340 (2.20GHz, 1MB L2 Cache); 3GB DDR3 SDRAM memory (1 x 2GB & 1 x 1GB) (expandable to 8GB); ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4250 Graphics with up to 1405MB total graphics memory; 320GB (5400 RPM) Serial ATA hard drive; Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I have to play on the lowest quality settings or else the game is too slow to play. Even on the lowest settings it sometimes freezes up for a minute or 2 then resumes playing. Also when going into V.A.T.S. mode its slow to load it. It's still completely playable and I do play it, but I was just wondering if this is normal or if I should be able to play it at a higher setting or not with my specs? maboru
2 + 1 gig is a difficult configuration for fnv4gb to address, if possible I'd replace the 1x1 with a matching 1x 2 because the "1405MB total graphics" includes shared system ram making for a difficult memory allocation scheme for an already over-stressed game engine. Lack of available memory is a leading cause of poor game response because if it's not there the game will use your hard drive as virtual memory and you have a very slow (but common for notebooks, hard drive). In lieu of that you can try loading fnv4gb into you fallout new vegas directory and get Configator to help you sort out the best way to achieve better performance, that way you may be able to get to medium. [FO3 and FONV are not very notebook friendly.]
n0t0ryczny
I'd rather say they are very notebook unfriendly.
