.fos save file extension somehow became associated with utorrant

i seem to be having a similar problem as many others - ctd just as a save game should be loading. Everything seems to be loading normally up to that point. This began right after all of the plugins were disabled after going on-line with Steam, and i re-enabled them with NMM. Game wont start a new game even with all mods disabled. The very odd thing is all of my .fos save files had become associated with the program utorrant! Should i associate them with the fallout4 executable, the launcher, or the f4se_loader executable? if i'm being overly vague, it's because I've al.ready gone crazy
