ZurinArctus85
I've been thinking about buying GTA V because Rockstar makes really good games. I've got a few Rockstar games, but I don't think GTAV is within my computer's operating capabilities. I am putting it on my notebook since 60+GBs is a bit more than I have on my Skyrim machine. It's my sister's old machine since she bought an MSI gaming laptop. It has an Intel 3612QM, with Intel HD graphics 4000 and a 500 gig hard drive, it's a Western Digital Scorpio Blue. It's got 8 gigs of RAM. Could I run GTA 5 at a decent framerate or nah?
JimboUK
People have it running on that spec, they have to use low settings and the frame rate isn't great but it should work. What spec is the Skyrim machine? it might be worth adding another drive to that, they're not expensive.

It used to have that along with an nVidia chip but I yanked that out a while ago for a nice shielded sound card. I've already maxed out the drive bays, I have 2 500GB Samsung SSDs in it, most of what I have is movies and lossless music, but I also have a 13.8GB Skyrim install (just reVanilla'd it), an 9.3 GB Oblivion install I moved from my sister's laptop (the one we're trying to run GTAV on), and about 75 more gigs of ISOs I dumped myself for emulators. I have a total of 18GBs left to spare, and I've gotten rid of as much as possible by running an alternate shell, deleting Windows Explorer and trashing any useless Microsoft stuff I don't need.
