rinoaff33
I've long been satisfied with sticking to a more...minimalist approach to modding my Oblivion. I prefer not to use mod weapons/armor, large mods that add big quests, major overhauls (aside from OOO), etc. I don't like to unbalance the game, see. Recently, however, after finally completing Shivering Isles for the first time, I've noticed something: I'm getting tired of the game. My current character is stealthy and has all the best gear possible, fully enchanted with Grand Soul Gems, and my older character that I don't play anymore is a super-overpowered battlemage who runs like she's stuck in jello due to the weight of her armor. I can kill anything (except Amazon bosses) and am stealthy enough to run into people without being detected. I decided to use a few pieces of mod armor to add some variety, but all that did was make me more overpowered. I've also done more than a little bit of personal tweaking to the mods I use, to the point where I'm finally learning how to use Blender. So, throughout my time playing and modding Oblivion, I've noticed that many, many screenshots feature numerous mods working in tandem on characters - unique races, hair, body styles, animations, gear...I've decided I finally want a piece of that, so to speak. So far, the only race and hair mods I've used are Cute Elves, Mystic Elves (the remake version that looks way nicer), Moonshadow Elves (gah, so many elves!) + their hair styles, and Ren's beauty pack. I also have a fair number of eyecandy mods, like Natural Faces, OBGE, HGEC... Basically, what I'm asking is this: Can someone point me to some good aesthetic mods like races and hair styles? Also, how would one go about combining multiple "beauty" packs so that they're all available? I want to start fresh with a brand new character and a brand new look. JCP768
Race balancing project has 7 or 8 lore correct races which are diverse and balanced along with the vanilla races Less annoying magic experience makes magic less annoying and more deadly for you and enemies Duke patricks mods do a good job of making melee and archery more tactical, fun, deadly, and balanced. Integration: The Straned light is a quest modwith 80+ quests, multiple solutions, skill checks, and all that sort of stuff that adds massive replayability. quest mods in general ae good for replay, maybe check the toql and some of my old posts. I have some favs I've listed in the past as well as links to two review rundowns I did of a bunch ofthem. Edited July 28, 2011 by JCP768
SavageArtistry
Also, how would one go about combining multiple "beauty" packs so that they're all available? I want to start fresh with a brand new character and a brand new look. This is one way to do it and how I do it but it's very tedious. There may be some other ways using some programs other than the CS. http://www.squidoo.com/the-elder-scrolls-iv-tutorial-merging-a-race-mod-into-an-existing-cosmetic-pack
