TheGadget1945
As I said earlier I liked the memory puzzle but yesterday I tried to play "Brain Dead" and I felt that my brain actually died during the course of it. I must have done sonething and just ended up asking the same questions again and again without any resoution. I may go back tomorrow and simply kill them all and ransack the place. RelicDuDe
After mods like "Skip the fade", and "skip Old world blues" You have to wonder why they sat around a table and thought this was a good idea... Do they have jelly heads, or do they deliberately wanna pester us ?... This is a "skip" mod, waiting to happen.... Having said that, far Harbour is a disappointment overall.. don't think i will ever be playing it again... In fact.. having been playing FO4 at all, ever-since i finished FH... Reinstalled FO3 instead...
robhartman9
on my second playthrough I used the quest stages command to just get all the holotapes. I couldn't be bothered to do it again. Took all of 20 seconds to do so I don't think a skip mod is required. I did make it harder for myself than it was. I could have taken more time and placed extra blocks so I wouldn't fall off but I just wanted to get the damn thing over with
RaffTheSweetling
I had a great time with it. I didn't find it difficult at all. Heck, I only fell twice (and the first time was on purpose to see what would happen). So did I. I cut my teeth on incredibly difficult puzzle games, and this was a cake-walk for me. Hell I was jumping into the void just to save time, (It teleports you to the starting point of that level, and nothing else). The first 4 levels were easy, the last was just time-consuming, at no point was it hard enough to call it a challenge. At the risk of sounding boastful, I find it amusing that so many people hate this level and even some players find it too hard to complete. I guess gone are the days where players enjoy any sort of cerebral challenge. (Super Bomberman anyone?)

Besides.. since Beth in all its wisdom hard-coded the arrow keys to the workbench.. the same keys i use to move... i cant walk in there.. ever tried to solve it, if you cant walk ?... Yeah.. i used setstage commands.. I even made a batch file for the thing... Once i was done, i had no more quests.. and Far Harbor ended in a whimper... I had expected a war... choose sides or make peace... that sort of thing.. sigh...

I didn't experience your problems, and I do like puzzles, and so you give me a snarky reply? BTW, Puzzles go hand-in-hand with RPGs. I mean, you ever play a Final Fantasy game (RPG with puzzles)? A Zelda game (Action-adventure with RPG and puzzle elements)? A Dungeons and Dragons game (RPG with puzzles)? I think I would be hard-pressed to call FO4 an RPG and not simply a Shooter with RPG elements. Just my opinion. And to answer you question, no.. i have never played the games you mentioned. I was a hardcore FPS gamer, in my own Clan. Played competitive on clan-base. I bought Fallout 3 thinking it was an FPS, and i am fascinated by apocalypse settings... Imagine my surprise when i had to do some talking... But, Fallout 3 became my favourite game... and i a RPG gamer after that. Played Dragon Age.. Mass Effect, etc... Hearing you speak.. I have no idea what a real RPG game is... If its with puzzles, then i am perhaps a Fallout fan, not a RPG one. Never the less.. I loved Fallout 3, hated Fallout NV... and only somewhat like Fallout 4.. hoping it will become better over time... because now, its average... in every respect. But that's only my personal opinion. i suspect not many will agree with me.. they never do...

But that's only my personal opinion. i suspect not many will agree with me.. they never do... I'm always seeing antagonism when there's none present. It's my problem, mate. Not yours. And It's my issue with these forums being half-filled with people out to prove themselves right all the time, and being cocky towards total strangers. Now I see it even when it isn't there. So don't take my comment personally, and I'll try to be more chill next time. Re: Fallout 3 - I found myself not liking that game when I first played it on the Xbox 360, and at that time I was loving Skyrim, (yes I was late to board the Fallout train, I know) but when my brother-in-law let me install Skyrim on his PC, and mod it, I also added Fallout 3 and played it again, and the second time around I was hooked. I have immense love for Fallout 3, and like yourself, not I don't quite have the same feeling for Fallout New Vegas. Some things in NV work really well, and some felt flat, and it's hard to pin down. Everything you said about Fallout 4 I agree with also. It's probably the biggest disappointment I ever had with a title, and I think the community is a little bit less hyped about things Fallout 4-related now because of the huge delay bringing out the CK, and the bugs in the engine itself. The second biggest disappointment for me was "Silent Hills" being cancelled by Konami and Hideo Kojima being fired. That was crushing. RelicDuDe
I am having fun all over again with Fallout 3. It has no silly puzzles, and me thinks that's one of its strengths. My playtime on steam is misleading, as i first played it on disk.. and later on steam without broken steel.. and when the GOTY came, the count was reset... i must have played through it hundreds of times by now. and i still do.. after what, ten years ?... It will take one hell of as mean DLC to save Fallout 4 from sinking in its own Far harbour....
